PORTLAND, OREGON and CLOSTER, NEW JERSEY, July 21, 2020 – International Trade Systems Inc. (ITS) has merged with software company GMS International Inc. (GMS) in a deal that will put ITS at the forefront of the customs software business. Jointly, the companies will launch ITS NextGen 2.0, a new and innovative system which will provide an integrated online customs brokerage and freight forwarding cloud-based platform.

Representing second-generation companies that have been leaders in logistics technology for 30+ years, ITS and GMS are combining their assets, wisdom, and experience to form one powerhouse entity. Together, they will deliver one of the most powerful cloud-based logistics software platforms on the market. ITS NextGen 2.0 will reduce costs, manage compliance and track shipments for logistics companies in real-time without the bloated costs of the competition. Moreover, the merge will enable the companies to work on a much larger scale, investing more in technology and innovation.

Scott Rockower, President of GMS and now Chief Product Officer of ITS, explains, “In today’s increasingly competitive software landscape, the importance of scale, diversity and technology is paramount. The combination of ITS and GMS provides customs brokers, forwarders, importers, exporters, and logistics providers a significantly enhanced platform positioned for the future.

Furthermore, this transaction represents our firm commitment to serve our existing customers as we work tirelessly to make them more competitive by utilizing modernized, future-proof technology.”

Steve Platman, CEO of ITS, concludes, “I’ve always admired Scott Rockower and GMS for their positive impact on the industry throughout the years. I am ecstatic that we are now teammates
and no longer competitors.”
